PF Scotland runs a Restorative Justice / Victim Awareness course entitled the “Sycamore Tree” course. This course has been produced by Prison Fellowship International and adapted by Prison Fellowship England and Wales for use in the UK. It consists of teaching around the story of Zacchaeus in Luke 19 and discussion on the whole area of taking responsibility for crimes and learning to understand the impact on
victims. It is a 6-week course and concludes with a presentation of a
certificate by a member of the senior management of the prison.  This course has been well received and in some of the locations where we run it, there is a waiting list for people wanting to attend.

Martin Forrest, chaplain at HMP Low Moss tells of the impact the Sycamore Tree course has had on the men in the prison where he works.
